Subcontractors Converting to Employee - Canada
New e-TES Logon. On your first day as an employee, - do NOT log into CSC's Electronic Time-Entry System (e-TES) to enter your work hours under your former subcontractor ID. [Your subcontractor ID is eight digits, starting with the number "9" (e.g., 997XXXXX)].
During your first few days as a CSC employee, use the Payroll timecard (see link below) to record work hours until you receive your new CSC personnel ID number ("pernr"). Your CSC pernr is the credential that you will use for e-TES time reporting and other employee identification purposes. It may take several days to receive the new pernr. Once you receive it, your manager will assist you with the e-TES setup and assist you with use of e-TES. Find information on submitting your timecard to Payroll on the second page of the time card.
Profile Change in GPM. After your date of hire, update your profile to “Employee” status in Global Profile Manager (GPM).
When your status changes from a subcontractor to employee, you must update your profile, so that the "SC" (subcontractor) designation is removed from your Lotus Notes (LN) email address. This is important, as some CSC system and databases cannot be accessed if there is a "SC" designator in your email address.
To make the change, access the GPM to request an update to your profile to remove the SC designation from your LN account. The LN address book will be updated upon approval.
To update your profile:
- Visit Global Profile Manager -> https://id.csc.com
- On the Home tab click 'My Profile'
- Select 'Modify My User Type'
- Select 'Employee' from the 'Employee Type' dropdown
- Submit the form
You can also modify your location, business, and personal information as appropriate. Select “Modify My Profile” to do so. Your manager will receive a notification to approve your status change to “Employee.”
