Subcontractors Converting to Employee
Beginning on your hire date - Do not log into myTIME to track your time under your subcontractor ID (your subcontractor ID is eight digits, starting with the number "9," (e.g., 997XXXXX).
During the first few days as a CSC employee, use the Payroll timecard below to record your time until you receive your new CSC personnel ID number ("pernr"). Your CSC pernr is the code you will use for myTIME time reporting, as well as for other employee identification purposes. It may take several days to receive the new pernr. Once you receive it, your manager will assist you with myTIME set up and assist you with using myTIME. If needed, you can use the time card to submit your time to Payroll until your new pernr is received. Information on submitting your timecard to Payroll is located on the second page of the time card.
After your hire date – Update your profile to employee status in Global Profile Manager.
Employees who change from a subcontractor to employee status must update their profile, so that the "SC" (subcontractor) designation is removed from their Lotus Notes email address. This is important, because some CSC system and databases cannot be accessed if there is a "SC" designator in your email address.
After your hire date, you must access the Global Profile Manager to request an update to your profile as a CSC employee and to remove the SC (subcontractor) designation from your Lotus Notes account. The Lotus Notes address book will be updated upon approval.
To update your profile:
- Visit Global Profile Manager -> https://id.csc.com
- On the Home tab click on My Profile
- Select Modify My User Type
- Select 'Employee' from the Employee Type dropdown
- Submit the form
You can also modify your location, business and personal information. Select Modify My Profile to update this information. Your manager will receive a notification to approve your status change to employee.
