Brand Elements - Social Media
Social Media Nomenclature
Social media platforms are an integral part of communications today. Because of their ubiquity and far-reaching influence, it’s crucial to enforce brand consistency. The following examples are templates of how to treat individual and corporate presence in the social space. In the social space, using black-and-white and color imagery is allowed. Also, in some instances, it’s permissible to not include the projection box, though including it should always be your first option.
CSC has several Twitter and Facebook pages. For consistency, the avatar or profile image should include the CSC logo and the subject line underneath. If there is an option to customize the background image, it should be consistent for the subject matter and distinctive from other areas of CSC.
Twitter Sample Application
A Twibbon is like a bumper sticker for your Twitter avatar. It is used to promote a cause or a company on Twitter by overlaying an image on your profile picture to show your allegiance. You can use Twibbon to be a CSC brand ambassador.
How do you use it? Go to http://twibbon.com. Login with Twitter, then authorize Twibbon to use your Twitter account. Search for the “CSC” cause or go to http://twibbon.com/join/CSC. Position your Twibbon over your profile image by clicking and dragging. Click “Show my support now!” when you’re satisfied with how it looks.
