Our client, another division of CSC, is a commercial company providing services to help people apply for visas. It works in partnership with governments to provide visa information services and solutions to support the visa application process.

Service Request

Our client has helped the UK Border Agency (UKBA) to implement a Web Information System and a Visa Application Tracking System though its service website. Now they need to extend them to support other countries, firstly Canada, Australia, Portugal and Germany. Some new features like online payment and phone-appointment booking are also parts of the project.

Setup a security audit program to be compliant with EMEA Data Protection Policy
Develop a payment gateway to support online payments
Enhance the current Web Information System to support managing appointments through phone calls in Canada
Enhance the Web Information System and Visa Application Tracking System to support visa applications in Australia and Germany
Export data from the Payment Gateway to a pre-defined file format in order to import it into an SAP system for invoicing purposes
Fix defects on current and newly implemented components

Results:

By enhancing its information & tracking systems, our client extended its services to Canada, Australia and Germany with relatively little effort. New features like online payment and phone appointment scheduling also give its customers more options during the visa application process.
