CSC Successfully Implements Largest SAP ERP Project in Vietnam for Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group (HAGL)
News Release -- August 13, 2012
Ho Chi Minh City, Aug. 13 – CSC in Vietnam today announced the successful go-live implementation of the largest SAP ERP project among multi-business groups in Vietnam for Hoang Anh Gia Lai Group (HAGL) – according to SAP Vietnam.
The SAP ERP solution enables HAGL to integrate all of the group’s operations into a single system, meeting specific requirements for all business operated by HAGL which includes Rubber, Mining, Power, Real Estate and Corporate Office among multi-business groups in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
The project at HAGL is the first SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) project to be successfully implemented in Vietnam. The BPC product supports HAGL organizations in their effort to meet a full array of bottom-up and top-down financial and operational planning requirements, as well as complete consolidation and reporting through more than 62 business entities (42 business entities and 20-plus non-SAP business entities) operated by HAGL. The BPC helps HAGL significantly reduce the time to make consolidation reports for businesses spread across three countries.
Completed on schedule and in a record time of 11 months (47 weeks), the implementation was followed by five phases of Accelerated SAP Methodology that included Project Preparation, Business Blueprint, Realization, Final Preparation and Go-Live. HAGL adopted up to the Realization phase as a big-bang approach and staggered Go-Lives for its five verticals.
More than 70 CSC consultants from Vietnam, India, the United States, Germany and Australia working alongside more than 400 HAGL employees from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia to complete the work.
“We are delighted with this outstanding accomplishment,” said Mr. Phuong Hung Ngo, managing director, CSC in Vietnam. “The success of the go-live project for HAGL is a testament to the market's trust in CSC's capability to deliver complex systems with the best quality outcomes for our clients both locally and globally across industries.”
