Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer
Primary Role
The Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for focusing on Virtual Desktop Infrastructure include installation, configuration of Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix XenApp, Citrix Provisioning Server, having knowledge about AppSense Management Suite installation and Configuration, experiencing with eGInnovations and Citrix EdgeSight is an advantage.
Working Relationships
- Directly report to Client (Internal or External) to provide Technical support, guidance;
- Report directly to EUS Manager;
- Directly work across in teams local and external on issues such as: MNS, MCS, GSS teams
Professional Responsibilities
- Installing, Configuring and Supporting the following via documented specifications:
- Citrix Desktop
- Citrix XenApp
- Citrix Provisioning Server
- Patching and/or updating the application listed above
- Creating and managing Virtual Desktops per ticket or request on demand
- Adjust AppSense Environment Manager Configuration
- Monitoring of System log Files on Citrix
- Respond to resolve Virtual Desktop Service Center (VDSC) issue, tickets or request to satisfy customer under their Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- To be on call per rotation for after hours support
- Troubleshooting for the issue raising with Server Operations
- Creating and running EdgeSight Reports base on Interval Time
- Assist other member in team, group on troubleshooting the Server, ESX
- Assist on Planning for Server Infrastructure
- Develop and review of procedure and work instruction documents
- Update systems to reflect accurate status of work
- Proactively on Escalation
Professional Requirements
- At least 01 year in Citrix, XenDesktop experience is a must;
- At least 05 years in Windows Server OS on file system, scripting and Register is a must
- Very good at English communication skills is required;
- Posses the soft skills: team work, ability on high pressure workloads and aggressive deadline, good analytical and troubleshooting skills, motivation, etc.
- Documentation writing for internal publication is preferred.
Education/Training
- Bachelor’s degree is a must with Citrix is preferred
- Knowledge on LAN/WAN, TCP/IP is desirable;
- Knowledge about ITIL Framework is a plus;
- Have VMWare or Hypervisor is an advantage.
