CSC launches first buyers guide for the UK Governments Cloudstore website

CSC (NYSE:) To support the UK Government’s online ICT catalogue, CSC is publishing a Public Sector Buyers Guide for IT professionals in the UK. The CSC Guide offers advice on “traps, tips and trust” around using CloudStore.

CSC is supporting the UK Government G-Cloud programme by creating the guide as an essential reference, designed to help public sector IT professionals avoid the potential pitfalls of the new as-a-Service world, and give tips and advice on choosing IT service providers they can trust.

CloudStore is part of the UK Government's G-Cloud programme which endorses the government’s commitment to delivering fundamental changes in the way the public sector procures and operates information technology (IT) services. By adopting cloud computing to deliver IT systems, public sector organisations can be more flexible and responsive to demand. Within CloudStore there are 1,700 cloud-based products from over 250 different IT services organisations. This is expected to grow substantially through the second phase of the G-Cloud Programme.
