Damien Venkatasmy named as lead for CSC’s UK, Ireland and Netherlands Public Sector Business

CSC (NYSE:CSC), a global leader in next-generation IT services and solutions, has appointed Damien Venkatasamy as industry general manager for its Public Sector business in the UK, Ireland and Netherlands.
Damien is responsible for leading CSC’s growth and engagement with the public sector across the region, building on an already strong footprint in central government.
He reports to Sanjiv Gossain, CSC’s vice president and general manager, UK, Ireland and Netherlands who commented: “Damien has a tremendous track record in driving business growth and building winning client relationships in the public sector. These attributes will play a significant role as we look to build on the success of our engagement, in particular with central government departments, across the region.”
Damien has been working with the public sector for the past 18 years. Prior to joining CSC Damien was director of public sector for TCS. Damien’s earlier career included working for Steria, CGI and Unisys where he held a variety of sales, delivery and general management roles. He is a B.Sc. Management Science graduate from Bedfordshire University.
In addition to his role at CSC, Damien is also Chair of techUK’s Public Services Board.
