CSC supports the UK Government's cloud drive
News Article -- March 30, 2012

CSC was recently selected to be part of the UK Government's G-Cloud Framework. This has allowed us to place a number of our secure 'As a Service' (AaS) based offerings on the new CloudStore catalogue that is available, and being promoted, within all Government Departments, Local Authorities, Agencies and Arm's Length Bodies.
This is a key and important step in CSC's ability to support the UK Government's ICT Strategy to have 50% of new Central Government ICT spend procured through Cloud Services by 2015.
CSC will promote the use of CloudStore across its existing relationships with Government and within future opportunities as a way demonstrating the unique value that CSC can bring to Government in orchestrating how Government can develop and make use of Cloud services in supporting better services for less cost.
CloudStore
The Government CloudStore catalogue is available for public access and is categorised into 4 main areas, under which CSC offers a range of services:
• Infrastructure as a Service
• Platform as a Service
• Software as a Service
• Specialist Cloud Services
Tip of the Iceberg
The current entries in the CloudStore represent only the tip of the iceberg of CSC's innovation in leading edge cloud services. We are constantly developing secure cloud services that will be capable of achieving the highest levels of security accreditation in the UK. Our services will commonly be able to support the UK Government's Impact Levels of up to IL3 and development will allow us to go beyond that for our more secure customers.
