The CIO Debates
THE CIO DEBATES DINNERS
CSC hosts a series of private dinner debates, chaired by Mark Chillingworth, UK Editor-in-Chief of CIO magazine. Each debate sees a group of CIOs get together to discuss how organisations should respond to today’s biggest enterprise challenges.
Please see below for details of the next dinner:
"Don't shoot the futurologist": 9th March 2015
We're calling our next debate "Don't shoot the futurologist". By bringing together the UK’s best CIO minds we will create the chemistry needed to identify the next waves of disruptive change. We will debate what the wonders of the near future might look like and what role the enterprise CIO can take in bringing them to reality.
Helping with the discussion will be Simon Wardley, a recognised visionary and ex-CIO. One member of the CIO100 credits Simon as one of a small group of “real visionaries who are leading the way in the digital world”.
Today Simon is a researcher for the CSC Leading Edge Forum, a global research and thought leadership community. His most recent research, published in December 2014, is entitled "Of Wonders and Disruption" where he predicts the nature of technological and business change over the next 20 years.
Simon will stimulate our debate by setting the agenda for envisioning how areas such as 3D printing, self-driving cars, robotics, the internet of things, and the IT industry itself, might change in the years ahead.
