WSS is a fully managed 802.11a/b/g wireless Local Area Network (LAN) operational security policy monitoring, alerting and enforcement service. WSS converts a managed wireless LAN into a managed secure wireless LAN delivering enterprise-wide intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, continuous vulnerability assessment and performance monitoring. WSS will also enforce a no-wireless policy for clients that restrict or prohibit the use of wireless LANs.
