CSC ANNOUNCES SIX NEW CLIENTS FOR RISKMASTER CLAIMS AND RISK MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., June 11 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that six organizations, including Quality Distribution Inc. (Nasdaq: QLTY), North America’s leading tank-truck carrier, have recently licensed RISKMASTER X, CSC’s claims and risk management information system. The other clients include two additional self-insured organizations that, like Quality, will use RISKMASTER to manage the property and casualty, and workers’ compensation risks associated with manufacturing and shipping materials. In addition, two public entities and one claims management third-party administrator will use RISKMASTER for Web-based tracking and reporting of all claims resulting from an incident.

RISKMASTER X, the latest version of CSC’s RISKMASTER software, supports all aspects of claims management – from first notice of an event or incident to final disposition – combined with a risk management information system.

In addition to standard general liability, physical damage and workers’ compensation risks, shippers have unique liability exposure, including potential claims for environmental, cargo, contamination and trucking damage. In the past, Quality Distribution, whose services span the United States, Canada and Mexico’s border states, used multiple systems to manage claims resulting from a single incident. With RISKMASTER, Quality’s risk management staff can more easily track and summarize all claims from an event on one Web-based system.

“RISKMASTER will enhance the visibility and transparency of our claims by allowing field operations to access the claim-status information they need directly over the Internet,” said Mike McDonald, Quality Distribution’s director of Risk Management. “This direct access to claims and risk information can cut our adjusters’ time by as much as 25 percent.”

“CSC’s flexible technology is capable of supporting companies like Quality Distribution and others that have unique liabilities,” said Ray August, president of the Property and Casualty Insurance division of CSC’s Financial Services Group. “RISKMASTER helps our self-insured clients improve their operational results through increased efficiency and effectiveness in their claims and risk management processes.”

RISKMASTER X, which gives managers and front-line users current business and market data via a Web browser, can be installed at the client site or hosted by CSC. More than 15,000 risk and claims specialists use RISKMASTER, making the user group the largest users’ community of any independent risk management software.
