CSC LICENSES RISK AND CLAIMS SOFTWARE TO LOS ANGELES METRO AND FIVE OTHER ORGANIZATIONS

Casino, Public Entities and Third-Party Administrators Join RISKMASTER Users’ Community

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., March 27 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that six organizations, including the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority (Metro), have licensed RISKMASTER X, CSC’s independent claims and risk information management system. The other clients include another public entity, a self-insured casino and three third-party administrators (TPAs). The organizations will use the software to improve claims processing efficiency and help control losses through more accurate reporting.

RISKMASTER X, the latest version of CSC’s RISKMASTER software, provides all aspects of claim management – from first notice to final disposition – combined with a risk management information system. The software, which gives managers and front-line users accurate, up-to-date business and market data via a Web browser, can be installed at the client site or hosted by CSC. More than 15,000 risk and claims specialists and 470 organizations use RISKMASTER, creating the largest users’ community of any independent risk management software.

“We chose RISKMASTER X primarily because of its flexibility and rich functionality,” said Greg Kildare, Risk Management executive officer for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority. “With its automated processes and imaging system running at our TPA, we can eliminate paper-based processes and streamline claims administration. Its ad hoc reporting capabilities will also enhance our risk management procedures and enable us to allocate costs more accurately to our various units.”

“RISKMASTER is a market leader because it integrates full claims and risk management with robust information system reporting,” said Ray August, president of the Property and Casualty Insurance division of CSC’s Financial Services Group. “CSC’s strength in the public agency and TPA segments allows us to continually improve our offerings and, in turn, help our clients achieve even greater results.”
