CSC Invests S$85 million to Expand Regional HQ in Singapore
News Release -- December 01, 2010
To Grow Headcount by 50%; Expand Facilities by 20% over 5 years
SINGAPORE, DEC 1, 2010 – CSC, today, unveiled its new state-of-the-art regional headquarters and client engagement hub, representing an investment of over S$85 million. The newly expanded facility represents the latest phase of growth for CSC in the region.
CSC’ new offices in Singapore were officially inaugurated by Dr. Beh Swan Gin, Managing Director, and Economic Development Board (EDB). The launch event was followed by a press conference and stakeholder reception.
“Companies like CSC, with its high-end IT services offering, strengthen Singapore’s position as a global IT hub that leads in the creation of new value in the fast growing Infocomms space.” said Dr. Beh. “CSC’s investment in Singapore is testament to the republic’s attractiveness as a regional headquarters location, supported by our country’s excellent track record in governance, cutting edge IT infrastructure and strategic access to regional and global markets.”
“With CSC’s expanded facility, we reinforce our dedication and commitment to our customers and partners across the region. CSC has always been a part of Asia’s growth and with this investment, we are expanding our ability to service both existing customers and companies looking to take advantage of Asia’s renaissance,” said Mike Shove, CEO, CSC Asia.
CSC Customer Engagement Hub
With a 20% increase in available floor space, and a plan to increase headcount by 50% over the next 5 years, the new facility cements CSC’s ability to streamline its customers’ operations, slash operational costs and maximise customer centricity. The client engagement hub will primarily serve as a centre for collaboration. The facility will be used extensively to discuss customer challenges and the solutions that are the best match in solving these challenges.
CSC Bursary - Giving Back to the Industry
To celebrate the official launch and in sync with CSC’s activities in the realm of corporate social responsibility, CSC will launch the CSC Bursary to benefit students from the Business School and School of Computing of the National University of Singapore. The bursary will go toward helping academically brilliant but financially needy students. The bursary will dispense S$45,000 over a period of three years. The bursary will go to able students to offset fees and other educational costs.
The official launch of CSC’s expanded facility coincides with CSC’s 40th anniversary in Asia. The anniversary is a reminder of CSC’s presence in Asia and their expertise in developing efficient technology that solves the toughest client challenge, setting a benchmark of excellence.
