SOAsure Business Driven Application Modernization
BDAM (also referred to as FuturEdge) is CSC’s end-to-end application modernization and portfolio management services framework that spans initial shaping through transformation through ongoing management.
Many of our clients have already begun the process of modernization through SOA.We understand the importance of leveraging what you already have in place and offer a business-driven and holistic approach that is designed to optimize for the present, as well as for the future. In the near-term, we want to put you in a position to more easily capitalize on new market and growth opportunities right now.
CSC's BDAM offering is differentiated from competing modernization solutions on the market for two reasons. First, the approach incorporates multiple integrated modernization treatments (e.g., re-architecting, SOA enablement, automated transformation/refactoring) as appropriate for an organization’s unique set of challenges and objectives. Next, BDAM encompasses the management and governance of both the modernization initiative itself and the resulting architecture and infrastructure by leveraging CSC’s existing Program Management and Enterprise Architecture offerings as part of its overall approach.
BDAM is for mid-sized to large businesses that need to modernize legacy applications and/or application portfolios. BDAM provides a programmatic approach to enabling organizations to transform their existing business system assets and/or develop new business system assets to improve their business performance. The BDAM approach incorporates the concept of a variable entry point, meaning that it can be applied to a wide range of organizations that are considering, just beginning, or already engaged in a modernization program. The approach is truly business-driven in that it seeks to leverage and extend CSC’s existing Fusion offering by closely aligning an organization’s IT strategy with its business strategy, and drives the early development of a business case that demonstrates acceptable return on investment for the required resource investment
