CSC Named a Finalist for Chamber of Commerce Award
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and its National Chamber Foundation recognized CSC as a finalist for the Hiring Our Heroes Don Weber Wounded Warrior Employment award, one of five awards presented at the second annual Hiring Our Heroes awards gala last November. CSC was among 25 businesses nominated for an award based on our commitment to addressing employment challenges for U.S. veterans, transitioning service members and military families.
The Don Weber Wounded Warrior Employment Award recognizes demonstrated leadership in addressing the unique challenges and demands for wounded warriors, spouses and caregivers in their search for meaningful employment.
"CSC is a tremendous example of an employer that has stepped up not only to hire talented veterans and military spouses but to recognize the sacrifices they have made in service to our nation," said Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Schmiegel (Ret.), executive director of the Chamber's Hiring Our Heroes program, in recognizing CSC as an award finalist.
"CSC is honored to receive the Don Weber Wounded Warrior Employment Award," said David Zolet, executive vice president and general manager for CSC's North American Public Sector. "More importantly, we are honored to work alongside approximately 8,000 military veterans and wounded warriors employed at CSC. They understand our unique missions and help CSC deliver diversity, innovation and leadership to each program we support."
In addition, CSC was named a top military friendly employer for the fourth year by G.I. Jobs magazine. For more information about CSC Military Programs, please contact Andrea Hall or Thomas Jones.
