CSC Wins $285 Million Task Order to Develop and Operate EPA's Central Data Exchange


FALLS CHURCH, Va., April 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC - news) has won a task order to assist the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in implementing and operating a Central Data Exchange (CDX). Awarded by the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) under the Federal Technology Service's Millennia contract, the agreement is worth an estimated $285 million to CSC if all options are exercised over seven years.

The Central Data Exchange will serve as an enterprisewide portal, providing a single point of entry for required environmental reporting from federal, state and local government agencies, tribal communities and industry. In addition to developing this consolidated system, CSC will operate and maintain the exchange on behalf of the EPA.

Approximately 140 CSC employees will perform the contract work in New Carrollton, Md. Teaming with CSC are Concurrent Technologies Corporation of Johnstown, Pa.; Creative Information Technology Inc. of Arlington, Va.; Digital Signature Trust Company of Salt Lake City, Utah; Grant Thornton LLP of Chicago, Ill.; InfoPro Inc. of Silver Springs, Md.; Lexign Inc. of Nashua, N.J.; SeeBeyond Technology Corp. of Monrovia, Calif.; and Systems Integration Group Inc. of Lanham, Md. CSC's team holds certifications in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and CMM Level 4.
