Collaborative Training
We are leading the way with collaborative training solutions that integrate live, virtual and constructive (LVC) training environments. Our integrated solutions—which take full advantage of today’s expanding netcentric operations requirements—are ideal for meeting the demands of joint and coalition exercises as well as full-spectrum operations such as the global war on terrorism, homeland security, strategic deterrence and humanitarian efforts.

Simulation and Modeling
CSC is helping revolutionize training by providing the latest modeling and simulation training solutions and tools. Our capabilities are ideal for both tactical and strategic training and are changing the way our customers instruct, rehearse, make decisions and execute operations. Whether it’s modeling conditions, objects or systems or providing high-fidelity simulators, we provide realistic training environments that help improve performance and cut costs.
An example is the U.S. Army’s Flight School XXI. A CSC-led team built a 136,000-square-foot facility to house 39 high- fidelity flight simulators and provided 18 reconfigurable
training devices for unit training in an Army-owned facility at Ft. Rucker, Alabama. By supplementing live aircraft training with cost-effective simulation training, CSC is helping Army aviators experience battle conditions in realistic combat environments on terrain that they will see in the future. As a result, Army aviators are not only receiving superior training, but they are doing so at a cost savings of more that eight to one over live training. In addition, advanced simulation training is helping make students combat ready up to 100
days faster.
Live Training
CSC is also a leader in developing and managing complex live training exercises. We provide comprehensive support to the U.S. Navy’s Southern California Offshore Range, the
Navy’s premier live-fire, multiwarfare training complex. As part of this program, CSC personnel not only maintain the entire range complex—including tracking instrumentation
and target resources—but also plan, brief, conduct, analyze, and debrief more than 1,800 training events per year from unit level through advanced predeployment strike group training. The 100,000 square mile range is critical to the combat readiness of the Navy’s Pacific fleet.

An example of unique technologies developed by CSC is Utopia 2000, a collaborative document development system. This Web-based content authoring and conversion system
enables developers and subject matter experts to work together remotely to produce training and training products that conforms to all industry standards.
