NGN Applications & Tools
NGN now supports Exchange Network Version 1.1 and 2.0.
The NGN is a software suite that contains all software components that are required to host an Exchange Network node. The NGN can be leveraged by any Exchange Network node application, but it is also intended to simplify data collection and publishing for back-end EPA systems as well.
The NGN suite includes a web service tier that supports both inbound and outbound web services that implement the Exchange Network Specification and Protocol. It also contains services for such features as transaction management, auditing and logging, node configuration, and dataflow management. A catalog of generalized actions that are typically used by dataflow implementations is included as well. To complete the suite, a sample dataflow application is provided as a template for dataflow development within the NGN paradigm.
Two variations are available for download, one generic distribution that is configurable for multiple external databases, and one that contains an embedded database. The external database distribution contains instructions for configuring the database connectivity. Both variations specify application server configuration instructions for multiple application servers.
The NGN has been verified against the following platforms:

Application Servers: JBoss 4x, BEA WebLogic 8x and 9.2.2, WebSphere 6.0, Tomcat 5.5x, Oracle 10g AS (10.1.3)/OC4J, SQLServer (future)
Browsers: Microsoft IE 6x, Mozilla Firefox 2x, Apple Safari 3x, Opera 9x
