Proven Expertise
CSC has employed its Value Chain Visibility expertise across numerous agencies and industries.
The US Air Force wanted to obtain real-time visibility of mission-critical assets and parts. CSC designed, deployed, and integrated thousands of active radio-frequency identification (RFID) systems across dozens of buildings, both indoors and outdoors, tracking over 15,000 assets. USAF AIT Project Manager noted that the chief benefit of the system is in terms of time saving, and the time required to locate items has gone from days to seconds in some cases.
The US Customs & Border Protection wanted to increase the safety and speed of processing trusted travelers on both the southern and northern borders. CSC designed, integrated, deployed, and managed successful high-performance passive RFID systems for both vehicles and pedestrian border crossing.
Two business units of a major US Defense Contractor wanted an easily scalable web-based RFID system to comply with the Department of Defense (DoD) RFID mandate. CSC designed and deployed an Oracle-based outbound shipping RFID solution integrated into SAP and the DoD Wide-Area Workflow system.
