CSC’s Student Scholarships Help Bring NC’s Next Generation of Leaders Up to Speed
(Raleigh/Ashevile) -- Sept. 21, 2011 -- With healthcare rapidly evolving in the way it uses technology to save lives, CSC, a global I.T. company, is sending top executives as well as promising North Carolina students to NCHICA’s annual conference in Asheville, Sept. 25-28.
NCHICA stands for the NC Consumer Advisory Council on Health Information. The group explores ways to revolutionize health care via technology. CSC has proven itself a leader in the field. The company is currently building the state’s new and improved Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).
CSC’s North Carolina-based John Minnich led a volunteer industry team that helped craft the conference’s agenda. Among the speakers, CSC’s Jim D’Itri will discuss on Tuesday how hospitals can transition to electronic health records, a crucial step in streamlining communications between doctors and expediting life-saving care.
In addition, CSC is providing “scholarships” to three promising students from around the state to attend the conference.
