Flight School XXI
Flight School XXI at Ft Rucker represents the future of U.S. Army aviation training. CSC led a team of commercial and military aviation training specialists and manufacturers in building a state-of-the-art, 136,000-square-foot facility with 38 aviation training simulators and another 18 reconfigurable training devices. CSC now operates and maintains this facility and training system, where young helicopter pilots learn to fly a host of different aircraft without ever leaving the ground. The simulators replicate real cockpits and offer all the flight dynamics of a real helicopter, including realistic environments and battlefield conditions. New York State Medicaid System
Partnering with the New York State Department of Health, CSC has implemented the nation’s largest, most technically sophisticated Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). This Web-enabled system, dubbed eMedNY, processes eligibility verifications, claim submissions, and prior-authorization requests from the state’s 75,000 participating healthcare providers. It manages over 350 million claims, 150 million eligibility verification transactions, and over $49 billion in payments annually. NASA Shared Services Center
Through this business process outsourcing (BPO) contract, CSC provides services to the new NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) at Stennis Space Center, Miss. NSSC consolidates human resources, procurement, financial, and administrative services for all NASA employees, contractors, university partners and job applicants across the United States. A hundred systems and processes at 10 NASA centers and NASA Headquarters are centralized through NSSC. See case study.
Logistics Modernization Program
In modernizing logistics for the U.S. Army, CSC has performed the world's largest SAP implementation for the world's largest supply chain. LMP delivers 6 million items from 50,000 vendors to a million customers. CSC's Supply Chain Solutions business unit reengineered the Army's logistics processes and implemented new processes while supporting soldiers fighting wars in two countries. CSC won the $680 million LMP contract to deliver world-class logistics and readiness to the American warfighter in December 1999. Read an overview of LMP.
Joint Vaccine Acquisition Program
As prime systems contractor for the Department of Defense Joint Vaccine Acquisition Program (JVAP) since 1997, DVC LLC, A CSC Company, manages advanced development of biodefense vaccines and therapeutics. DVC’s responsibilities under the JVAP contract include technology transfer, preclinical research, clinical trial management, manufacturing, risk management, storage, maintenance and licensure. In 2005, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration licensed DVC’s vaccinia immune globulin to treat certain rare adverse reactions to smallpox vaccination. “The licensure of this product marks a significant milestone in the history of JVAP and our eight-year relationship with DVC,” said JVAP Product Manager Lieutenant Colonel Travis Bernritter. “This is the culmination of years of hard work, which will ultimately benefit our country’s armed forces.” For more information, visit www.csc.com/dvc.
Eagle Alliance
The Eagle Alliance is a joint venture of Computer Sciences Corporation and Northrop Grumman supporting the U.S. intelligence community with the most innovative technologies and the broadest range of resources in the IT industry. Through this outsourcing engagement, Eagle Alliance provides networking, computing, enterprise management, telephony and personal communications. Services employ COTS-based, best-in-class security and cost management processes. Strategic alliance partners bring specialized skills and depth of experience and resources. All members of the Eagle Alliance work under a single operating model to provide integrated and consistent service delivery.
Environmental Protection Agency Information Technology Solutions
Through this $867 million, 7-year contract with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), CSC is helping the EPA transform independent operations into an IT infrastructure that provides fast, relevant, integrated information about environmental and public health conditions, trends, and potential threats. EPA ITS consolidates two technical support contracts to supply agency offices across the country with integrated IT and telecommunications. As prime contractor, CSC is responsible for overall management, task integration, and national telecommunications. Partnering with CSC are IBM Global Services, PlanetGov, Veridian, KPMG, and a team of small businesses, not-for-profit groups, and universities.
