Intelligent Energy: Insight From the Digital Energy Conference

Imagine having all your oilfield data and information available together – including financial, technical and operational data. CSC offers a product called “Petroleum Enterprise Intelligence” (PEI) to do exactly that. It uses enterprise resource planning (ERP) and business intelligence tools from Oracle, petroleum dashboard and visualization tools from  iStore, the Public Petroleum Data Model (PPDM) standard.

It runs on Oracle’s business intelligence applications, together with the Information Store (iStore)’s data access and visualization technology, including its PetroTrek application  to visualize production and well technical data. The Oracle Business Intelligence software is built around the needs of specific business departments (e.g., finance, human resources, supply chain and procurement). But the Petroleum Enterprise Intelligence solution brings data from all of these systems, geared around the needs of specific individuals who need data from many different departments.
