How do you best fit in with the Infrastructure Delivery Team in Copenhagen and which skills do you need? Read Christian’s advise on how to be a great fit.
What kind of profile are you looking for?
The ideal candidate has an IT educational background, is a quick learner, self-driven, able to learn on his/her own, and a team player. We see potential candidates as bright minds that are ready to take chances and throw themselves headfirst into deep water. Being open-minded and ready for change is also important as CSC currently is going through a big transformation. Summed up, we need IT capable candidates who are team players.
For this track, it is a requirement that the candidate holds a Danish passport and can maintain relevant security clearances due to security and customer requirements.
In your eyes what are the most important abilities to possess in order to be a success in your team/in CSC?
We want employees who are ready to take responsibility and make sure that we meet our deadlines and goals. Being process-oriented is an important ability in this position in order to solve issues and concerns as effective and efficient as possible. When working within infrastructure delivery you – and your fellow coworkers – share the responsibility for ensuring that our customers’ systems are running smoothly which is of utter importance for our business.
What type of responsibilities can graduates expect in your team?
You can expect huge responsibility! Every decision you make affect the customer systems that we operate. In addition, you will get responsibility for implementations and changes of new and existing systems which can have a critical impact on our customers if something does not work or goes wrong.
How do you ensure the development of the graduates?
Throughout the 2-year track the graduates will get a wide knowledge within the infrastructure area, from service desk, small technical projects to large-scale complex projects. In addition, we want to ensure the right customer mindset, and hence one of the rotations could for instance be in the account delivery organization with direct customer contact and responsibilities. Besides this, there are massive possibilities for self-studies and international certifications within technologies such as Wintel and Mainframe etc.
What can you offer future graduates?
We offer a global position with global colleagues, global customers and the possibility to work with many different platforms. Candidates will be working with large-scale infrastructure, but will also have the chance to work with emerging technologies such as Mobile, Big Data, Cyber and Cloud.
What future positions do you see a graduate in, after the end of the program?
I imagine the infrastructure delivery graduates to be positioned as a Technical Engineer or an Infrastructure Architect after the program. In both positions candidates will be working with both local and global clients. As we say: “Work local, act global!”
Are there any other things you want to emphasize?
Now might be the perfect time to join CSC. We are going through a major transformation and we are working hard to move our business to the next level. There are a lot of changes going on but also many great possibilities which make the Infrastructure Delivery track an exciting place to be!
