Working in the IT industry is very challenging. It is such an agile industry – requiring everyone to move fast.
Why did you apply for a graduate position?
What really appealed to me about the Graduate Program is the very steep learning curve, and that you get the chance to rotate in the company. This means that you will get to know the whole company and not just one position.
Why did you apply for a position at CSC?
What really attracted me about CSC was the opportunity to work with IT. The IT industry is very diverse and agile, and it requires constant innovation. When I got to meet CSC at the Assessment Center, all my assumptions about IT were confirmed and I knew right away that CSC was just the right place for me.
What is CSC to you and how do you find it working at an IT company?
Working in the IT industry is very challenging. It is such an agile industry and we are moving so fast – requiring constant innovation from everyone at CSC, which is very cool to be a part of. Being at CSC, a company that truly prioritizes its talents is very giving as I get to do a lot of challenging tasks in an exciting industry.
What did/do you find surprising about working at CSC?
The most surprising thing about working at CSC is the complexity of the organization. We are a global company, so we work with people from different parts of the world and with various cultural backgrounds. Moreover, I am surprised how the organization is structured. I am actually also a bit astonished to be assigned tasks requiring so much responsibility. I am not just working with simple tasks, but I get to work really hard from day one with really cool projects.
How do you find the working environment?
The CSC environment is a very friendly place – it is of course an atmosphere where we are very result-oriented, but it is extremely motivating when everyone comes together to try to achieve the next big sale or the next innovation.
Why should others apply for a graduate position at CSC?
Other people should apply for a position in the Graduate Program at CSC if they want to make a difference in their career. If you just want a dead-end job, where you do nothing or where you do the same thing for the rest of your work life – CSC is not the place to go. CSC is where you go if you want to do cool projects, work really hard, and be part of a project team that achieves!
The best advice I can give to future graduates at CSC is to be open-minded – also in the application process. Be ready to network and be ready to take on new challenges because that is basically what you need to succeed in this industry and in this company.
What motivates you in your everyday work?
The biggest motivational factor for me is the opportunity to work with a broad range of projects. I do not sit around doing the same thing every day. I get to work on multiple projects stretching across the entire value chain in the organization, which is really cool!
