Peter: CSC is all about global leadership
Position: Junior Manager, Global Business Solutions
Education: CEMS MIM & M.Sc. EBA International Marketing & Management
Joined CSC: October 2013
Peter joined CSC in October 2013 in our new Junior Manager Graduate Program. With ambitions for an international career and working with global leadership he seeks to excel and develop in CSC.
Why did you choose CSC?
I have ambitions towards an international career and on a future stage work with global leadership. Hence, I was looking for a company that works worldwide and could offer challenging possibilities in order to grow and excel. In this matter CSC was a great choice.
With the introduction of a new global corporate strategy and operating model CSC is currently in an ongoing transition phase that prepares the company for tomorrows business environment. The changes provide opportunities to affect processes in the organization and thereby enable you to contribute to the transition. This was one of the key reasons for why I joined CSC.
What’s it like to be a graduate in CSC?
As a graduate in CSC you will find out the company’s scope is huge and to navigate in the organization can be demanding. But this also means you will meet a lot of interesting people and expand your network. I have been surprised by the warm welcome I have received as graduate. The door is always open if you have questions.
In accordance to the program we are also being offered intensive training and career development. A corner stone is your assigned mentor, which I personally find as a great asset. The mentor can help you on achieving your professional goals and introduce you to the right persons, which is essential in a large corporation as CSC.
What do you work with on a daily basis?
Currently, I am working on a project across accounts, which seeks to optimize internal processes and technical support of CSC’s IT Service Management system. The task is fun but challenging as several units have to work aligned and provides me with an opportunity to excel my project management skills.
Moreover, I am involved in HR activities regarding recruiting new graduates and communicating to university environments.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
