It all started with a dream and 100 dollars ...
CSC, Computer Sciences Corporation, was founded in the USA in 1959 by programmer Roy Nutt and marketing expert Fletcher Jones. They invested 100 dollars in the new company; Roy managed the technical side of the business, and Fletcher handled marketing. The formula was a success, and just two years later the company signed its first contract with NASA – earning a place in the American space programme.
Right from the start, CSC provided technical services ranging from weather observation to radar maintenance for all NASA’s manned and unmanned spacecraft. In 1990 and again in 1995, we even had our own CSC astronaut serve as a cargo specialist onboard the space shuttle.
Today CSC is a global leader of next-generation information technology (IT) services and solutions. Our mission is to enable superior returns on clients' technology investments through best-in-class industry solutions, domain expertise and global scale.
