It all started with a dream and 100 dollars ...
CSC, Computer Sciences Corporation, was founded in the USA in 1959 by programmer Roy Nutt and marketing expert Fletcher Jones. They invested 100 dollars in the new company; Roy managed the technical side of the business, and Fletcher handled marketing. The formula was a success, and just two years later the company signed its first contract with NASA – earning a place in the American space programme.
Right from the start, CSC provided technical services ranging from weather observation to radar maintenance for all NASA’s manned and unmanned spacecraft. In 1990 and again in 1995, we even had our own CSC astronaut serve as a cargo specialist onboard the space shuttle.
Today, CSC is a world-leading IT company employing some 97,000 people in more than 80 countries. We opened our first office in Sweden in 1994 and in Denmark and Norway in 1996 and have been growing fast ever since. Today, we have some 3,500 employees – and we are looking for more.
