Pressemelding -- December 19, 2011
COPENHAGEN. 16 December 2011 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced that John Walsh has been named president and chief operating officer of CSC’s Nordics business, comprising Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Lithuania operations. In this role, he will report to Andy Williams, president of CSC’s Northern Europe business operations.
Walsh has been with CSC for 11 years, most recently serving as vice president within CSC's Enforcement, Security and Intelligence (ESI) Group for the company’s North American Public Sector. Prior to this, he led CSC's outsourcing business in Asia where he was responsible for business performance as well as strategic growth of all services across the region.
"I am delighted that John is joining our team. He is a strong and capable leader and his expertise in delivering on operational and financial targets whilst driving a transformational agenda makes him ideally suited to the task at hand,” said Williams. “His experience in the government sector will be beneficial to many of our important clients, whilst his commercial outsourcing client experience will be pivotal as we pursue our growth agenda."
"I look forward to my new responsibilities and to living in Copenhagen with my family,” said Walsh. “I am excited to be joining the team at this time — there have been difficult times here in recent months, but I know we have many opportunities ahead. With the outstanding client base we have in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, a revitalized and capable leadership team and the power of CSC’s global organization behind us, I know we will succeed."
Walsh joined CSC in January 2000 and has held a number of executive positions in the United States, Germany, Switzerland and Singapore. Prior to CSC, he held multiple positions with the U.S. Department of Defense, most recently as an acquisition executive at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in San Diego, California. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles; a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University; and a Master of Arts degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
