CSC announces record Year-To-Date contract signings
Pressemelding -- Mars 08, 2004
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., March 8 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that business awards to date during the company’s 2004 fiscal year, which ends April 2, totaled $16.8 billion, surpassing any previous yearly total in the company’s 44-year history.
The $16.8 billion year-to-date total eclipses last fiscal year’s 12-month total of $7.7 billion as well as the company’s previous record of $11.4 billion established during fiscal 2002.
More than $3 billion of the year-to-date total has been announced during the company’s current fiscal 2004 fourth quarter.
The $16.8 billion total consists of $9.6 billion (57 percent of the total) in commercial awards – also a record – and $7.2 billion (43 percent of the total) from the U.S. federal government.
“We are very pleased with our fiscal year-to-date business awards,” said CSC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Van B. Honeycutt. “As these awards demonstrate, our well-balanced portfolio of services, coupled with our experience and record of delivering results, positions us well to compete in the IT services marketplace.”
