CSC and Softheon Announce Collaboration to Deliver Cloud-Based Business Process Management Solutions for Health Plans
News Release -- January 17, 2012
FALLS CHURCH, Va., Jan. 17 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) and Softheon announced today a new software distribution agreement that will help healthcare professionals optimize efficiency and increase productivity. CSC will implement and provide the Softheon framework of business administration modules in a cloud environment allowing health insurance plans to extend the capabilities of their current system in a usage-based, software as a service (SaaS) model.
With CSC’s deep knowledge of the healthcare IT space and significant consulting expertise, health plan professionals will benefit from the agility, flexibility and rapid deployment of Softheon’s payer-optimized business process and content management services delivered from an on-premises cloud or a CSC off-premises private cloud. The collaboration will allow health insurance plans to significantly reduce manual processes, enable disparate systems to communicate with one another based on standard Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) protocols and achieve rapid return on investment through a SaaS model.
“We are honored and privileged to work with CSC to assist healthcare payers in being responsive to various market opportunities, from complying with Administrative Loss Ratio (ALR) and Medical Loss Ratio (MLR) mandates to healthcare exchanges and consumerism,” said Eugene Sayan, founder and CEO of Softheon. “Together with CSC, we are uniquely positioned to deliver complex yet proven solutions in partnership with the nation’s leading payer, provider and government agencies.”
