CSC Positioned in ‘Leaders’ Quadrant of Leading Industry Analyst Firm’s North America Desktop Outsourcing Report
News Release -- July 06, 2011
FALLS CHURCH, Va., July 6 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that it has been positioned in the “Leaders” quadrant of the Gartner report, Magic Quadrant for Desktop Outsourcing Services, North America. The report published on June 22, 2011, reviewed 17 providers of desktop outsourcing services in North America.
According to Gartner, “The desktop outsourcing market is complex because of the buyers’ varying needs, the growing intricacy and requirements of multinational businesses operating in North America, and the ongoing technological advances that add to and change the delivery capabilities of the providers. Also adding to this complexity is the new and ever more complex global economy, the number of global delivery opportunities from low-cost countries, the increasing maturity of technology, and disruptive trends, such as the industrialization of IT services and cloud computing.”
“We are delighted to have our heritage of excellence in service delivery of Desktop Outsourcing Services reflected in the Gartner report," said Nick Wilkinson, president, market and product strategy, CSC Managed Services Sector (MSS). "We believe our ‘Leader’ rating reflects our clients' confidence in CSC capabilities and validates our forward looking strategy based on continuous service improvement, innovation, and delivery of client value."
