Mark Rasch Joins CSC as Director, Cybersecurity and Privacy Consulting

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Sept. 8 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) has named Mark Rasch director of Cybersecurity and Privacy Consulting for its North American Public Sector business unit. Reporting to Carlos Solari, vice president of Cyber Technology and Solutions, Rasch will help develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for deploying and growing a new cybersecurity and privacy consulting practice within CSC.

Rasch is a lawyer and renowned author of numerous security and privacy-related articles. He has lectured and taught graduate courses in cyber crime, law and technology at educational institutions across the country.
Rasch has spent the past 20 years in the private sector providing security, regulatory compliance and privacy consulting, as well as disaster recovery and business continuation planning issues with corporate and government entities.
Previously, he was with the U.S. Department of Justice where he led its efforts to investigate and prosecute cyber and high-technology crime. He started the computer crime unit within the Criminal Division’s Fraud Section, efforts which eventually led to the creation of the Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section. During this time, he investigated, prosecuted and handled appeals for complex white-collar computer and high-technology crime cases.
He received his Juris Doctor from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the State University of New York at Albany.
