CSC Recognized as One of the World's Most Admired IT Services Companies by FORTUNE Magazine
News Release -- March 11, 2010
FALLS CHURCH, Va., March. 11 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that it has been recognized on FORTUNE magazine’s list of “World’s Most Admired Companies” for 2010. The company was ranked number five in the Information Technology Services category. According to FORTUNE, this recognition is “the definitive report card on corporate reputation,” as decided by thousands of executives, directors, financial analysts, and ratings companies on nine corporate attributes, from people management to financial soundness.
“CSC is honored to be recognized by FORTUNE, analysts and our peers as one of the ‘World’s Most Admired’ in the IT industry,” said CSC Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Michael W. Laphen. “This acknowledgement underscores our commitment to our clients, employees, and shareholders — delivering nothing less than world-class solutions, exceptional service delivery, and strong financial results.”
FORTUNE’s study of World’s Most Admired Companies is conducted annually by The Hay Group, a global consulting firm. Approximately 1,400 companies are included in the initial research: the Fortune 1,000 (the 1,000 largest U.S. companies ranked by revenue), non-U.S. companies in Fortune's Global 500 database with revenue of $10 billion or more, and the top foreign companies operating in the U.S.
The Most Admired survey results are featured in the March 22 issue of FORTUNE, and are accessible online at http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/mostadmired/2010/index.html.
