Maryland Governor Appoints CSC’s James W. Sheaffer to New Advisory Board


FALLS CHURCH, Va., Feb. 3 – CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley appointed the president of CSC’s North American Public Sector line of business, James W. Sheaffer, to the Maryland Federal Facilities Advisory Board. Consisting of industry, government and academic leaders, the newly created board will focus on leveraging the federal presence in Maryland to identify opportunities for business expansion and job growth related to federal initiatives.

O’Malley made the announcement at the CyberMaryland Summit at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Md. Initially, the board is to advance the recommendations of the CyberMaryland report, which outlines the state’s role in supporting President Obama’s national cyber initiative.
