Mike Gaffney Named President of CSC’s North American Public Sector Civil and Health Services Group

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Jan 8 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it has named Mike Gaffney president of the company's North American Public Sector (NPS) Civil and Health Services Group.
Reporting to NPS President James W. Sheaffer, Gaffney will provide executive leadership and strategic direction for much of the company's business with U.S. Government civil, as well as state, agencies. He also leads CSC's initiatives to bring the company's global healthcare experience and expertise to government healthcare clients at both the federal and state levels.
Gaffney joined CSC in 1991 and most recently served as president of business development for NPS, where he was responsible for leading efforts to capture federal and state business for CSC. Previously, he was vice president of business development for the company's group that supports the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

Prior to joining CSC, Gaffney was with Unisys Corporation for 13 years. He serves on the board of directors of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association, and is a member of the National Defense Industrial Association, the Association of the U.S. Army and the Navy League.
Gaffney has a bachelor's degree in economics from Fordham University in New York. He also completed the Wharton School of Business Advanced Management Program.
