CSC NAMES CAROL HARRITY VICE PRESIDENT OF STRATEGIC BUSINESS MANAGEMENT FOR NORTH AMERICAN PUBLIC SECTOR

FALLS CHURCH, Va., April 23 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that Carol Harrity has been named vice president of Strategic Business Management for its North American Public Sector's (NPS) line of business. She will report to Mike Gaffney, president of Business Development for NPS.
In this role, Harrity will lead the Capture and Proposal organization responsible for strategic capture opportunities and proposal development. In addition, she will oversee the creation and implementation of business strategies and solutions for large-scale bids.
"Carol brings 23 years of operational and business development experience, a proven capture track record and the ability to motivate and lead teams," said Gaffney. "She will be a strong addition to our executive leadership team and will deliver business value to both clients and CSC."
Harrity most recently served as capture executive for NPS. In this position, she was responsible for the strategic direction of cornerstone bids and successfully led efforts that yielded close to $1 billion in opportunities. Her experience spans multiple federal clients, including the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, Department of Agriculture, Securities and Exchange Commission, and others.
Harrity holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance from Robert Morris University and an MBA in information technology from the University of Phoenix.
