FALLS CHURCH, Va., Nov. 3 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that the New York State Department of Health, Office of Health Insurance Programs has extended the company’s contract to support the state’s Medicaid management information system, known as eMedNY. The original contract was awarded to CSC in 2000 to develop and operate the award-winning processing and reporting system. The new extension is valued at $322 million over a three-year period.Under the terms of the extension, CSC will continue to serve as the fiscal agent for New York’s Medicaid program, which annually processes more than 350 million claims and generates payments in excess of $40 billion.
