CSC LISTED IN ‘LEADERS’ QUADRANT OF DATA CENTER OUTSOURCING SERVICES, WESTERN EUROPE REPORT
News Release -- December 04, 2007EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Dec. 4 -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it is positioned in the “leaders” quadrant of the Gartner report, Magic Quadrant for Data Center Outsourcing Services, Western Europe, 4Q07. The report positions external service providers (ESPs) of data center services based on their ability to execute and their completeness of vision.
According to Gartner, “The ESPs in the Leaders quadrant are performing skillfully. They have a clear vision of the market's direction and are developing competencies to maintain their leadership. They shape the market, rather than follow it.”
Authored by Gianluca Tramacere and Claudio Da Rold, and published Nov. 13, 2007, the report covers ESPs in Western Europe. To qualify, service providers need to have a presence in at least six Western European countries and at least $150 million in annual data center outsourcing revenue.
“I believe this research highlights CSC’s ability and success in capitalizing on our vision, as well as the strength and scale of our Western European presence,” said Gavin Larkings, vice president of CSC’s Global Infrastructure Services group for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “Through CSC’s critical infrastructure services we are able to deliver the operational results needed by our clients.”
