CSC PLACED IN ‘LEADERS’ QUADRANT OF DATA CENTER OUTSOURCING SERVICES, WESTERN EUROPE REPORT
News Release -- April 20, 2006
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., April 20 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it has been listed in the “leaders” quadrant of the Gartner report, Magic Quadrant for Data Center Outsourcing Services, Western Europe, 2006. The report positions external service providers (ESPs) of data center services based on their ability to execute and their completeness of vision.According to Gartner, “The ESPs in the leaders quadrant are performing skillfully. They have a clear vision of the market's direction and are developing competencies to maintain their leadership. They shape the market, rather than follow it.”
Authored by Claudio da Rold and Gianluca Tramacere, the report covers ESPs in Western Europe. To qualify, service providers need to have a presence in at least six Western European countries and at least $150 million in annual data center outsourcing revenue.
“We believe our position in the leaders quadrant reflects CSC’s experience and ability to deliver globally consistent services and business results to our clients,” said Guy Hains, president of CSC’s European Group. “Using CSC's dynamic, secure and results-driven infrastructure services, organizations are well positioned to optimize IT performance and improve the delivery of services to their clients across Europe and the rest of the world.”
