The annual ranking is compiled by American Banker, a leading daily newspaper for the banking and financial services industry, and Financial Insights, a global independent research and advisory firm. This is the second year CSC has been named one of the leading providers of information technology (IT) services to the banking and finance industries.
To be named to the top 25, companies must be global technology firms that provide services or market products across multiple industries but have significant reported revenues in financial services. Qualifying companies are categorized and evaluated by fiscal year-end revenues and percentage of revenues from sales to financial services industry clients. Financial Insights gathered and reviewed companies by the applications and services they provide; vendor/product reputation; adherence to industry standards; number of banking clients; number and value of acquisitions within financial services; and both market capitalization and change in market capitalization.
