Consolidated Service Center Provides Enhanced Launch Support Services For ULA
FALLS CHURCH, Va., July 20 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) today announced that United Launch Alliance, LLC (ULA) has awarded the company a new managed information technology (IT) services contract to provide a consolidated service center, and desktop and application services for the ULA enterprise. The agreement supports ULA's mission of engineering, manufacturing and launching rockets for the U.S. government and commercial organizations. The three-year agreement has an estimated value of $9 million. This contract was awarded to CSC during the company's first quarter fiscal 2010.
CSC's relationship with ULA, a joint venture between Lockheed Martin and Boeing, began in December 2006. CSC currently provides personnel support for ULA's Help Desk, Desktop, Server, Network and Application organizations.
Under the terms of the new contract, CSC will provide all ULA users with tier one (customer service) and tier two (advanced technical support) services for ULA's desktop hardware and software applications. In addition, ULA will be provided with modern service center tools and procedures, which will significantly improve its ability to support users at its Engineering, Manufacturing and Launch Operations facilities located throughout the United States. Services will be provided from CSC's service center in Dallas, Texas.
