CSC LICENSES nbACCELERATOR TO THE AEGON GROUP
CSC Software to Streamline Insurance Policy Underwriting and Issuance
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., March 31, 2004 – Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that the AEGON Group, one of the top five insurance groups in the U.S., has signed an agreement through one of its member companies to license CSC’s nbAccelerator to automate and accelerate life insurance policy application submission, underwriting and issuance processes. The new agreement extends CSC’s 20-year relationship with AEGON.
nbAccelerator is CSC’s life insurance new business process management and risk assessment system. AEGON will integrate nbAccelerator with CSC’s CyberLife policy administration system and AEGON’s workflow and imaging infrastructure to process its life insurance applications across back-office operations in Iowa, Missouri and Florida.
“nbAccelerator’s advanced automation and business intelligence capabilities will help us focus on the business of underwriting rather than on the technology that supports it,” said J.D. Johnson, AEGON Financial Partners’ chief information officer. “By consolidating our new business processing on nbAccelerator, we will standardize processes, lower processing costs and improve our customers’ experience.”
“AEGON’s decision to license nbAccelerator extends our 20-year history of providing experience and delivering results to AEGON,” said Michael W. Risley, president of the Life and Health Division of CSC’s Financial Services Group. “With nbAccelerator as its core processing platform, AEGON is better equipped to maintain its position as one of the nation’s fastest growing insurance organizations.”
