CSC SIGNS $53 MILLION IT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH GLOBAL OIL/GAS COMPANY

FALLS CHURCH, Va., Feb. 26 -- CSC (NYSE: CSC) announced today that it has signed a five-year, $53 million information technology (IT) services contract with BHP Billiton Petroleum.
Under the agreement, CSC will manage global IT operations for BHP Billiton Petroleum, which is headquartered in Houston, Texas, and has operations and offices in approximately 10 countries. The contract covers enterprise-wide infrastructure, which includes help desk, desktop, midrange, network, high-performance computing and telecommunications services, as well as applications management.
"This contract award underscores the breadth and depth of our experience supporting energy industry corporations and our ability to adapt to our clients' changing business needs," said CSC Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Michael W. Laphen. "We have supported BHP Billiton for several years and adjusted our solution and client engagement model to address the company's new decentralized approach to IT. CSC has provided IT support services to various organizations within BHP Billiton for the past eight years.
