FARMERS INSURANCE GROUP OF COMPANIES SELECTS CSC’S CLAIMS MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE


AUSTIN, Texas, May 25 -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that The Farmers Insurance Group of Companies, the nation’s third largest home and auto insurance provider, has licensed CSC’s claims management software for a multi-year term.

The software, known as COLOSSUSTM, is the most comprehensive knowledge-based claims system used today by the property and casualty insurance industry to assimilate and examine facts relevant to bodily injury claims. Through interactive consultations, COLOSSUSTM accesses more than 10,000 rules to help evaluate more than 600 trauma-induced injuries, providing expert guidance for both novice and seasoned claims professionals.
