For the past two years, Bothwell, who is based in Falls Church, Va., has managed CSC’s Corporate Knowledge Program and the development of CSC SourcesSM, an enterprise-wide knowledge environment that enables CSC to build and leverage its knowledge, experience, and expertise on a global basis.

It also develops and promotes business solutions that support the building and deployment of other organizational capabilities.

Bothwell’s appointment underscores CSC’s ongoing commitment to become a knowledge-enabled company that provides world-class information technology (I/T) services to its global clients today and decades to come. “Knowledge, and our ability to build and leverage it, has become a critical source of sustainable competitive advantage,” said Van B. Honeycutt, CSC’s chairman and chief executive officer. “CSC Sources, our global knowledge environment, will position us for success.”

Since joining CSC in 1970, Bothwell has held various management positions, and has a long history of managing large complex systems development and integration contracts with both Federal and commercial clients. More recently, she has been instrumental in the success of CSC’s SEI process improvement programs.

Bothwell graduated cum laude from Goucher College with BA degree in Mathematics. In 1993 and 1994, she was CSC’s resident affiliate at Carnegie Mellon’s Software Engineering Institute.
