EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Sept. 30 - Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) announced today that since July 1, 2005, its Federal Sector business unit has signed 99 previously unannounced contracts and subcontracts valued at approximately $650.5 million during the second quarter of CSC’s fiscal year. The quarter ends Sept. 30, 2005.
The agreements cover time periods ranging from one month to 10 years. Civil agencies accounted for 30 awards with a total value of approximately $192.9 million. Department of Defense (DoD) agencies accounted for 69 awards with a total value of more than $457.6 million.
“These new contract awards, ranging from an increase in our work for the Federal Aviation Administration to supporting the Department of Commerce again for the 2010 census, underscore the confidence our federal government clients have in CSC,” said CSC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Van B. Honeycutt. “CSC’s proven ability to apply our vast experience to a broad spectrum of programs leaves no doubt that we will deliver solid business results.”
Significant areas of award activity included the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, Internal Revenue Service, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Department of Transportation and various intelligence agencies.
All expressed contract award terms and values represent the amounts that CSC expects to receive from the agreements if all options are exercised.
