EL SEGUNDO, Calif., June 29 - Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) announced today that it has been awarded a contract to provide systems integration, information processing and other related services to the U.S. Army’s PM Transportation Information Systems (TIS) program. The contract, which has one base year and five one-year options, consolidates and expands the work CSC and its teammates previously performed for the Army’s Automated Airload Planning (AALPS) and Transportation Coordinator’s Automated Information for Movement (TC-AIMS II) systems. CSC estimates the value of the contract to be approximately $146 million if all options are exercised.
Under the agreement, CSC will develop and deploy blocks three, four and five of TC-AIMS II; integrate the Army’s multiple transportation information systems into a single enterprise management system; and provide personnel and services for the TIS integration support program. This support will include activities such as local area network implementation, configuration management, software and hardware maintenance, network and enterprise systems management, as well as integration, help desk, disaster recovery, software development, training and other support services.

Members of CSC’s team include Anteon of Fairfax, Va.; SRA of Fairfax, Va.; Binary Consulting of Bethesda, Md.; A&T Systems of Raleigh, NC; BBN of Arlington, Va.; and Software ADE Inc. of Vienna, Va.
The TIS program is responsible for providing and conducting the specification, development, testing, fielding, training, operations and support of multiple deployment and transportation information systems throughout all phases of each system’s life cycle. The program is currently responsible for four major systems: TC-AIMS II, AALPS, the Transportation Coordinator Automated Command and Control Information System, and the Transportation Information Systems - Theater Operations. TC-AIMS II is the largest of the four systems and will incorporate the functionality of the other three when it is fully developed and fielded.
TIS is responsible for several smaller systems, and may assume responsibility for additional employment and transportation systems throughout the duration of this contract. Additional information on TIS can be found at
