CSC ACHIEVES LEADERSHIP STATUS AMONG OUTSOURCING VENDORS IN NORTH AMERICA

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Jan. 15 - Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it has been positioned among the market leaders in META Group's recently released METAspectrum evaluation for Leading Outsourcing Vendors North America. META Group (Nasdaq: METG) is a leading research and consulting firm that focuses on information technology (IT) and business transformation strategies.

The new METAspectrum evaluation provides an objective assessment of companies that provide or integrate IT and business process services. CSC was positioned in the market leader segment of the METAspectrum analysis and was specifically recognized for strengths in government and manufacturing industries. In addition, the report states that CSC's "knowledge management capabilities stand out, even among leading outsourcing vendors."

According to the Market Summary of the METAspectrum Leading Outsourcing Vendors North America evaluation, "Leading vendors provide a range of commodity infrastructure services: application configuration, development and maintenance; integration with business services (e.g., payroll); and management consulting to pull together disparate technology and business services."
