CSC ACHIEVES LEADERSHIP STATUS FOR DESKTOP AND HELP DESK SERVICES NORTH AMERICA

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Oct. 15, 2003 -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it has been positioned among the market leaders in META Group's recently released METAspectrum evaluation, Desktop and Help Desk Services North America. META Group (Nasdaq: METG) is a leading research and consulting firm that focuses on information technology (IT) and business transformation strategies.

The new METAspectrum evaluation provides an objective assessment of companies providing fully integrated service desk and managed network services for IT organizations. CSC was positioned in the market leader segment of the METAspectrum analysis and was specifically recognized for strength in technology capabilities and vertical industry focus.

According to the Market Summary of the METAspectrum Desktop and Help Desk Services North America evaluation, "To be a market leader, an outsourcing vendor must exhibit strong delivery performance based on sound business practices and evolving innovation in the delivery of services, while also having a strong presence that includes solid boardroom relationships and brand awareness."
