CSC WINS $42 MILLION TASK TO SUPPORT MISSILE DEFENSE AGENCY
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., April 21, 2003 -- Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) announced today it has won a task order to provide program assessment, planning and reporting support to the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Program Integration Directorate. The four-year agreement, valued at more than $42 million if all options are exercised, was awarded through the MDA’s Basic Support Services Program blanket purchasing agreement established in April 2001.
The MDA’s mission is to develop, test and evaluate production, deployment and operational alternatives for the Ballistic Missile Defense System. CSC, which has supported the MDA since 1988, is the agency’s key provider of systems engineering and technical services. Under the new task order, CSC will provide cost, scheduling and allocation support; program assessment and reporting; and support of the MDA’s planning, programming and budgeting system.
“CSC is pleased to continue its support of the MDA, an agency that plays a vital role in U.S. national defense,” said Aaron Fuller, vice president and general manager for CSC’s Navy, Marine Corps and Missile Defense programs.
